Working from home has become for most, the default way of working. And that means we’ve traded work friends for furry friends. An estimated 57% of UK households house a staggering 38 million pets, meaning for so many of us, we’re spending more time with our pets than ever before, with them becoming an integral part of our working day.
My beloved black and white cat Figaro has made appearances on many a Zoom, and his meowzart symphony has provided the soundtrack for more than a few brainstorming sessions (apologies to my team!). He is to be forgiven though, for not always being the most co-operative or focussed of assistants, because he is an excellent lap warmer and provides support on harder days.
